Wrytr is a distraction-free writing app for Mac. If something is unclear or broken, email wrytr.app@outlook.com. We read every message.
Where your sheets live
Sheets are Markdown files in a folder you can open in Finder. They are not stored inside the app.
- iCloud Drive — Finder: iCloud Drive/Wrytr
- Choose Folder — Documents, Dropbox, OneDrive, or any folder you pick
Change this anytime in Wrytr → Settings. Reveal in Finder is ⌘⇧O. The search index stays on this Mac. It is not your writing folder.
Common questions
I cannot find my sheets.
Use Reveal in Finder (⌘⇧O), or open Settings and check the current folder.
Does Wrytr need an account?
No. There is no login. Your writing stays in those files.
How do I back up?
Copy the folder in Finder, or use Save a Copy… / Quick Backup in the app.
Billing or refunds
Mac App Store purchases go through Apple. Use Report a Problem,
or App Store → Account → Purchase History.
